Dr. John K Jones, DC, IVCA Certified

Dr. Jones is a native of Berks County and practiced and lived with his wife and three dogs in Wyomissing. He has been in private practice since 1991 treating human patients and started chiropractic treatment of animals following education and certification in 2009. He continues to educate himself and broaden his skills in certification courses such Postural Rehabilitation - An Essential Therapeutic Modality for the Canine and Equine Athlete.
A 1989 graduate of Life Chiropractic College, Dr Jones has continued his education with certifications in the treatment of scoliosis, muscle activation technique and animal chiropractic.
Having utilized chiropractic care for several years for their dogs with a certified animal chiropractor, Dr Jones made the decision that this was the direction that he wanted to take his practice. He spent a full year traveling to Kansas for four to five days a month to become trained in veterinary anatomy and physiology, diagnostic testing, and chiropractic adjusting. He then had to pass a two day written exam and complete a practical exam before being granted his International Veterinary Chiropractic Association Certification.
Animal Chiropractic is not meant to replace traditional veterinary care. It is not an alternative treatment, but rather an integrative method that when used in conjunction with good traditional veterinary care, will provide years of happy and healthy living. This is the beginning of a more modern, comprehensive approach to your animal’s healthcare. It is an effective and valuable means of restoring and maintaining their strength, vigor and well-being. And by exploring and treating the root causes of your animal’s aches, pains and illnesses, will ensure maximum improvement, top performance and an exceptional quality of life for the animal companions we love.
Dr. Jones' rapport with animals is remarkable. He also believes in taking time to explain to you, the owner and/or trainer, what he's finding during his examination and what the options for treatment is. He'll gladly work with you and your veterinarian to give your beloved animal the best care possible.
